2014 ES 350 trac off & engine light

Asked by Guru9S94TS Sep 20, 2021 at 02:02 PM about the 2014 Lexus ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2014 ES 350 got the battery drained from leaving it sitting for 2 weeks. I tried to start it a bunch of times before I figured it out. It started immediately after using jumper cables on the battery. However, now the check engine light is on and 'trac off' is showing. How can I reset this? I think this happened because I was pumping the brakes and hitting the power button a lot.

Is it possible you hooked the cables up backwards when you tried to start the car? Have the trouble codes scanned and see what it tells you.
