how do you program the garage door opener if you do not have a remote and garage door is not a roll code?

I know you posted this a while ago, so you may have already figured things out, but as far as I know, you will probably have to go buy a remote (they're pretty cheap; less than $20). program the remote first than program the home link system using the recently programed remote. I know of no other way to do it.
