ignition key stuck

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The key will not turn into the off position so will not release.  The key will start the
vehicle and the vehicle will run.  I disconnected the battery and key turned to off position
and came out. Reconnected battery and tried again but the key got stuck .......hearing
possibly spring shifter or lock cylinder.

Either your not completely in Park or your steering wheel is just a bit off the position it needs to be in to locked ... move it back and for a little. Have you tilted the steering recently?
