Should I buy a new ES 330 or a used 2004 LS?

well you will get a warranty with new, but if money is tight you might want to go a model or two lower (lower costs >payment, (typically) insurance, parts). or go used and get a extended warranty, You know your situation best so really it is a personal choice, What ever you do enjoy the car and best of luck.

If the vehicles you currently have are in good shape and not really nickel-and-diming you to death, I would consider keeping them. In the current economy used car prices and interest rates are not as attractive as new vehicles with the various incentive plans, and if you can hold on to what you have for a few more years, you might have enough saved up to pay more down anyway. Interest rates were just lowered another 1/2 percentage point so in a few weeks this may translate to a better deal at the bargaining table when purchasing a vehicle.
My ES was involved in a hit and run last weekend. By a guy driving backwards down the steet! $3,000 damage and my car is valued at $6,100. Not sure how much money I want to put in it. Plus the oxygen sensor is bad. Do I take the insurance check and fix it up, or look for something new?
Again that is a personal choice, just dont get married to a payment that is hard to keep up too, That is advice I give everyone who asks me about what car to buy. As for your choice you can go to http://www.carsurvey.org/ and compare the cars, but as I said in my first post you will get warranty with new, but you will have depreciation, the used one already has taken the depre' hit, have it looked over and if you like it, enjoy. if you decide to go new, enjoy
Get a LS430.. you wont regret it at all! best it can get. besides, the ES is FWD and not as strong either. but with gas prices these days, maybe it's a good idea.
