how do I change the AC filter on my 2006 LS430

You have to do it through the glove box. Open the glove box and remove all it's contents. Take a small flat head screwdriver and pop the center plastic piece in the back on the glove box up and remove it, then remove the white cover going into the air box. Cabin filter is behind that.
