Brake lights will not go off on my 1998 Nissan Frontier what do I do?

Check your brake light switch, might be bad. Might have come unhooked from your brake pedal.

I bet you found some small pieces of rubber on the floor. There is a little rubber bumper where the brake switch contacts the brake pedal, it crumbles, falls out and leaves a hole. I could not find a replacement, taped a penny over the hole and it fixed it.
