My headlights on my 1990 T-Bird go on and off randomly, how do i fix this?

Asked by wlsoncaleb44 Jun 18, 2014 at 07:05 PM about the 1990 Ford Thunderbird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I drive at night my headlights will randomly just turn off and sometimes they will flicker back on then go off so I have to drive holding back the stick to flash my brights, so I know my lights work just wont stay on. It didn't used to do this but now it does it every night.

Possibly the Lighting Control Module (LCM). There is a known issue and Ford is honoring this for 15 Year or 250,000 miles whichever comes first. Check out Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 14N01 http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=93010
