There won't be letters on the vehicle. The only way to differentiate by WORDING - is if there is Premier on the side. That's the fully loaded version. Silhouette GS: Base model Silhouette GL: Optional Personal Convenience Package which includes keyless remote entry system, second row captains chairs and others.....plus the option of a short or long wheel base and leather optional. Plus there are more options available not offered on the GS Silhouette GLS: Fully loaded, minus the DVD entertainment and OnStar. Long wheel base, rear parking sensors, a higher curb weight and cargo hauling capacity. Leather was also standard on this model. These models are on the 97-/98 2005 model years. In 2006 it was replaced by the Buick Terraza - as Oldsmobile was no more. And now the Terraza is no more either. Hope that helps!

GLS does have OnStar on the panel up top.As far as I know the only difference in basic car features is seats aren't heated (it does have the 8-way seat switch though).
