My 1996 Olds Cutlas looses power almost to a halt, I shut it off restart it, it runs good for a few blocks then it keeps repeating doing this, I have RPM but the car seems to shut down

My 1996 Olds Cutlas looses speed almost to to a halt, if I turn the key off and
restart it again no problem for a very short amount of time then repeats doing
this, I have gas no problem with RPM, what is the cause for this

Have you checked the transmission fluid? It the engine is revving but the car is not moving, sounds like a transmission problem.

Yes fluid level is good dark, so it needs to be cleaned soon, I tried Stop Slip, but that doesn't help. Right now I thought I would run it around the block, but the shifting gears won't even move. Help!
