Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i was driving and the engine killed. spark plug wires were very croded, only 8 months old. replaced them along with dist. cap & rotor. still won't start. checked the coil. secondary tested good, primary tested bad, replaced with a new one. still won't start. while trying to start on the side of the road, it acted like it wanted to start but didn't. could it possibly be the timing belt?

could be, or the cam. (my 93 broke the cam). but check and make sure you have spark and fuel. You might want to get a mechanic to look at it, in case it is a sensor

Could be timing belt, but that's somewhat uncommon with the 3.0L engine, these were decent Mitsubishi engines. Although, you might have a timing belt failure if not properly maintained. How is the fuel? Are you getting fuel to the injectors?
