I changed the battery in my A6 estate 2004 and now the indicator lights are on, permanently (even when the car is turned off and locked). Is it an alarm resets issue?

My is an Audi A6 estate 2004 model. I had to change the battery out but when I
reinstalled it the indicator lights (front and back) came on static and remained on. This is
regardless of whether the car is running or not - it drives ok but is not idling that well. I
have had to disconnect the battery so it does not go flat again. Everything else is working
so I don't think it is a fuse. Help!

I would check all your fuses. Then, I would check the battery voltage when the car is running. Make sure it is above battery voltage when the car is off. Should be 13.5+ Volts. Then, I would see if there are any Check Engine Lights.
