battery charging

The battery charger will have 2 wires, positive, red. Plus sign (The plus sign key does not work on my keyboard) and negative, black, minus. Put the red, positive wire on the red, positive terminals on the battery,....... black, negative, or ground, on the frame of the car or the negative terminal on the battery, if your battery is dead and the charger has settings, for example 10 amps, set the knob there. Wait .....an hour or more, then car should start
Do not smoke while doing this keep all sources of ignition away, the battery emits flammable fumes

Did this battery go bad all by itself? the lights were left on? 2006 is long enough to warrant a replacement. Interstate and others will 'pro-rate' the battery and give you credit on your new replacement. Once fully charged, a "load test" can be performed to check the health of this battery. Voltage should be a keen 13.5 Volts- if not...replace-
