Basically, you will not feel it shift like the usual automatic transmission. There are videos on You Tube showing how they work and the complexity of them. Toyota has made decent strides in CVT technology but even still I would stay away from anything with a CVT. I still believe those belong in scooters and snowmobiles, not cars.
