Question type: General

When the van is idling, the lights ( headlights, tail lights etc) will slightly dim then get brighter. The rpms stay the
same. Where should I begin, battery tested, altenater tested or change spark plugs or something else?

nothing to do with spark plugs. if you have a volt meter check battery voltage with the engine off if it's around 12.5 it should be good start the car & check the voltage again it should be around 13.5 - 14 . if its jumping up & down check all connections on battery & alternator and body grounds.

Thank you. The in dash computer shows the battery at 13.5 when running but it does jump up high when it's warming up in the morning. That's when it feels like it's going to "die" when I'm driving to work. After work ( 4pm) and into the evening it drives fine. I will check the connections and body grounds. Thank you again!!

It’s your alternator. Same issue same vehicle. Change it or you will be driving one day and suddenly the blower will stop working then the radio and then you dash lights then you’re dead on side of road.
