The batteries went dead in my SV6.  How do I reprogram the remote?

if the batteries went dead you don't have to go to a dealer only if you buy a new remote its quite simple stand near the vehicle and press the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob simutanously until you hear the vehicle door lock unlock and lock a few times should only take about 5 seconds paul

the guy above me had it right. you should not have to reprogram remote. Those remotes are a bit problematic though. Check keylessfix.com they have all the solutions for these gm remotes. especially if a couple of the buttons don't work.
