My 2004 Pontiac Gram Am is acting funny when I put it in drive it vibrates and there is no power and it take a really long time to shift. What could be the problem?

My 2004 Pontiac Grand Am is vibrating when I put it into drive.  It has next to no power and it is taking a long time to shift.  My service engine light is on and I am wondering what could be wrong?  Can you help me?

need to get it scanned ... autozone will scan it for free.. hope this helps
