My 2001 firebird's brakes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have any of you had problems with your brakes. When I first bought my car two years ago the rotors had been
worn unevenly so they give and take a little vibrating the whole car under braking. I had the dealer shave the
rotors and that got rid of it. However the problem is back but and I was wondering if there is something wrong
with the calipers or something.

I know your feeling dude...I went through the same thing...mine vibrated when i broke too...theres a good chance the rotors mite be warped...that was the case with mine...I got some good rotors for it now and it brakes nicely...i got them from brakeperformance.com...check it out...they have good quality stuff for fairly cheap...(I just got 2 new rear drums for mine and they were only like a $120, which aint bad)...I wish ya luck

I had that problem...I just went straight up with brand new rotors all around.

no after you resurface a brake rotor you make the more prone to warpage because you made the brake pad surface thinner and with the heat and you braking habbits will cause a brake pulsation at highway speeds.
