my 2000 bonneville acts like it's not getting fuel and cutting out

Asked by mtwarmth May 21, 2013 at 07:14 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Bonneville

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car is cutting out and not getting gas.  I just replace the mass air flow sensor and that didn't help

when the car is switched off, do you hear the electric fuel pump running when you switch it to on before starting? Grounding to the pump/relay to the pump would be a suspect....you could pull and inspect the relay and see if it is scorched or smelly~

Going to have to suspect chassis ground, clean the connection to the battery, then we will test power to the fuel pump~
