Stalling shutting off

My pontiac is sputtering , stalling and completely
locking up I have changed the fuel filter and fuel
pump what else could it be

It could be electrical like alternator/battery failure Are your light diming

Check for codes. Is the check engine light on? Check fuel pressure to make sure it's not fuel related

The alternator is good that was tested and it completely shuts down steering locks but my lights still work

Ok breathe this might sound a little repetitive. You said your lights are still on but are they dim did all the lights on the dash come on

No they arent dim and no the lights on the dash dont come on unless you try to start itnthen the little battery light flashes but its not my battery

Could be other things but without knowing anything else about your car, I agree with "Oldstorqnpower" change the MAP sensor and see what happens.
