2000 Pontiac Grand Prix won’t start

Asked by GuruXD83S Oct 02, 2018 at 10:36 AM about the 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We just changed the intake gaskets in my car
because it was leaking antifreeze. Got it all put
back together and now it won’t start. What could
cause this?

Double check your work and pay close attention to any wires/cables that may not have been reconnected completely. Did you reconnect the battery? Does the engine turn over but will not start or is it dead when you turn the key? If it cranks, I would look at any ignition wires you had to disconnect either on the intake or the distributor. I think you will find it and it is not likely that it is a major issue.

Battery is connected, and yes it cranks just doesn’t seem to want to start. We even took everything back apart and put it back together to make sure we didn’t miss a connector or anything.
