ran out of gas. car shut off. put gas in it (well enough). now car wont start any suggestions anyone?

When you run out of gas is actually hurts the fuel pump. The fuel is what keeps the pump cool. Without fuel it runs hotter and could damage it. Listen for the fuel pump when you turn the key to on position. Should hear fuel pump run for about 3 seconds. Thats where i would start

sometimes when the tank runs emtpy, the sediment in the bottom of the tank clogs the filter check both filter and fuel pump

agreed, you either picked stuff up from the bottom and clogged a filter or burned up the pump, maybe both
