Need repair for headlight housing on 1995 Firebird

Asked by Lobbycoach Aug 11, 2008 at 09:26 AM about the 1995 Pontiac Firebird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am trying to resore my daughter's 1995 convertible Firebird.  The driver's side headlight housing is cracked, which does not allow the headlights to go up and down.  The motor is fine, just the housing is cracked.  I'm not even sure if this is the correct term for what is broken.  How do I go about getting this repaired??

I would get a replacement from a junk yard. www.car-part.com is helpful for locating parts

Check ebay. Sometimes you can't find one on there, but there is usually at least one headlight assembly on there. Make sure you get a drivers side assembly!! Be ready to pay $150 for a used one. From the dealer it would cost you about $280.

Oh, and anything from a 1993 to 1997 should fit. 1993 was the first year for that body style. Check you local junk yards if you haven't already.
