Just going to have look it over real good. When it ran hot it may have came from the overflow. Need to figure out why it ran hot, did the thermostat fail? Was it leaking and got too low and ran hot? Is the head or intake gaskets leaking? Is water pump bad and/or leaking? Is the radiator clogged up or is it Leaking? Are the radiator Hoses bad or leaking? Are the radiator fans or clutch fans working? Is your battery bad or is the alternator bad too or the reason the battery is dead?
You may have a leak that is squrting fluid and may be going near the battery. I would clean the whole area well, then run the car and watch where the leak is coming from...
I left my door open over night that's why I looked under the battery and seen it
bring it up to temperature and look to see if you can locate the source of the leak....
