To much gas to engine

Bad O2 sensors, leaking fuel injectors, vacuum leak
bad thermostat, stuck injector, bad o2 sensor...is check engine lit?

If stuck injector it would be flooding car. If leaking injector he would smell fumes. O2 sensor wouldn't be noticeable. Vacuum leak would cause hesitation and misfire which he would have noticed or mentioned all these would also bring on check engine light on. The regulator doesn't.

Sir I don't know about that! But my obd1 has 12 connections and shows you how pull a reading out of a car. I don't think those cars had a computer unless you had it changed. Lol
So before this problem the car kept dying out and not starting unless i let it sit for a day. I was told it could be the coils fuel pump or tp sensor. Changed all that now its getting to much gas to the engine. Had it hooked up to the computer and the computer couldn't pick up anything wrong with the vehicle and it was a new computer plus an older one neither picked up anything. The check engine light is on.
