Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Audi A4 3.0 I bought it at 100,000 now it has 137,000 it broke
down on me so I recently had the engine rebuilt valves and all timing belt
redone with serpentine belt water pump tensioner the whole set up lol so I
tried to take my car to pass smog and it keep reading that my camshaft
position sensors were bad bank 1,2,3,4 he guy said since my timing belt was
fucked up before I replaced it ( teeth missing from the old belt ) that it
could've messed up my sensors but I got them replaced and my check
engine light still came on(erased the code when I replaced them all 4) it's very
frustrating I'm trying to get my tags and I can't drive my car can anyone help
me out???

have you tried making sure the car is in time? if the belt was missing teeth it could have thrown things off. How does the car run? any unussal noises ? like ticking or vacum noises that arnt supposed to be there? did they reseat the sensors properly? are the came timing sensors alright? ussaly located at the back of the cames
