Spoiler problem

Asked by Victoria Jun 16, 2014 at 03:44 PM about the 2003 Porsche Boxster

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 03 boxster. At the weekend I did a long drive of over 300miles and for the first
time my spoiler automatically went up and has not depoled. I have tried to but the spoiler
down mannually using the switch which has not worked. It does not seem like the button
is stuck. I have also checked the fuse which is fine. I am at a lost end at what to do next. I
have also fitted a new battery before the trip I don't know if this has anything to do it. Any
help or advice would be great

Thanks again

If you can, test to see if you have any electrical power past the fuse or at the connection to the electrical motor. Perhaps a sensor is stuck or not reconnected correctly when the battery was replaced. It sounds electrical, but it also could be a mechanical blockage, if so it should pop a fuse or reset button if it has one.
