Why does it not want to start every time I put gas in my car?

Question type: General

When ever I put gas in my car and I go to
start it up it hesitates to turn over and
sometimes starts then boggles out and
turns off. Any other time I barley have to
touch it to turn over

Sounds like you topped it off and affected the evap system. Is the check engine light on?

Put some dry gas in the tank.I had the same problem and this worked.I don't know if it's called dry gas but something that takes water out of your tank.I can't explain it but just try this.

Most likely the purge valve for for the EVAP system is stuck open. When you fill the tank, gas fumes get pushed into the engine and the fuel mixture is too rich for the car to run. Once the engine is cleared of the fumes it will run normally, until the next time you fill it. Check the Purge valve. If it allows air to pass through it with the electrical connector unplugged, replace it. If it has any charcoal pellets stuck in it, you're going to need a new Charcoal Canister and lines too.
