Asked by Brenda Mar 29, 2017 at 06:45 PM about the 2004 Saturn L300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 saturn L300. Reading multiple
misfires. It Will start up fine and then there's
days where you gotta try a second time.
When pressing on the gas pedal if you press
down too fast it'll go to 3000rpms and then
stall. Changed spark plugs. Changed MAF.
Changed cat conv. Changed coil pack.
Changed ignition module.  Check fuel
pressure.  Any advice would be greatly
apprieciated.

This is a typical GM problem on older cars. The mass air flow or crankshaft position sensor may fail causing the engine to intermittently stall. It may be necessary for the engine to cool down before it will restart. Crankshaft positioning sensor was my problem all along

Put a new crank sensor in. That wasn't it. Someone told me it might be the ECM. About to go get a new one to put on.
