Thanks for the response i had it checked unfortunatly both the bearing an the cv joint are shot

Since the axle has to be pulled anyway, that's half the labor to bolt on the new hub-bearing unit, so figure $150 labor and $150 for an axle and a bearing hub so it's only $300 total. Shop around as necessary.

Thank you i have to go get it checked at another mechanic im starting to second guess if thats whats really wrong with it now because the first place was trying to charge me 1600 dollars

SECOND guess?! $600 is egregious; $1600 is criminal!

Yes they told me 1600 to replace both the wheel bearing and the cv joint i was actually thinking around 500 for both but now im not shure if both even need replacing

Have the car elevated and running. A good wrench will be able to hear with a stethoscope both wheel bearings. If one is much louder replace it. It may NOT be on the same side as the broken axle!

Thanks for the info i would check it myself but i dont have the tools or place at the moment i personally believe its the wheel bearing though because ive replaced them before on a different cars so to my knowledge of the sound thats what im hearing and feeling when i drive but it could be something as simple as the alignment and brakes
