Toyota camry axle boot on the driver side gets damaged and leaks after driving awhile. Have changed 2 times in a couple of months. Driving is in freeways an normal roads.
The damage appears to be from an external source. It does not add up to be on the exact spot two times in row. Did not notice any space issue when steering the car fully left and right while the car was on the rack. Material issue?

The replacement boots...are they the zipper type....or.....OEM type? Are you removing the axle duting replacement?
I changed both of the front axles: complete assemblies. The parts have been obtained from Toyota warehouse in Irvine. I do not know what do you mean by zipper type vs OEM type. As I said the part is Toyota certified.
Hmmm...this is interesting. You have replaced the complete axle on the driver side twice....and....it continues to develop a leak at the CV Joint Boot. Which Boot...inner...near the Tranny...or...outer...near the wheel?
If the Inner Boot is leaking...you may have a bad Tranny Axle SEAL...and...or Bushing Suggestion...block the rear wheels....put the Tranny in Neutral...jack up the front wheels...grab the CV joint in question and see if it has any lateral ...side to side...movement. Are you sure you do not have a leak ABOVE that leaky boot...like maybe an Engine oil leak?
It is a cut on the boot right close to the wheel on the driver side. The leak is from a cut which is lateral on the boot itself.. As if somebody cut it or it got hit by some external object. The Mistry is that it has happened two times in row within 3000 miles of driving on the same spot on the driver side.
Unfortunately I did not take any picture in the shop. Pictures are better than words by many order of magnitudes, I know. As I said the damage is a lateral small cut close to the wheel. When I looked @ the area when the wheel was turning full swing to the left and the right, while the car was on the rack, I did not see any conflict in space. The swinging was perfect with ample room in both directions.
OK...well...the mystery continues. Keep us up to date on this interesting issue.
