2003 Toyota Corolla - Sudden repairs

dont know what the mileage of your particular vehicle is but that has alot to do with these type of things. also the way you drive affects alot. not sure what caused you to replace your converters but those things have a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty that most people dont know about. spark plugs and wires are typical tune up based mostly on mileage. starters do go bad over time, like i stated earlier, dont know your mileage. brakes are replaced as necessary. usually when the pads get low they are replaced, at this point if the rotor can be machined it will be so you can use it again. if it cant be machined, it will be replaced. toyotas are very reliable cars, i own one myself and plan on having mine till atleast 200K miles. just keep up regular repairs and oil changes and it will last a long time. just know that stuff does get old and break and thats part of owning a car. your car is 8 years old and things will start to happen. best thing to do is fix them as they arise. dont let the "little noise" just go and turn up the radio, thats where most people make the mistake. get it fixed and she will last you a very long time indeed

is your Corolla running cold? leaky injectors? look at your temperture guages and do a short check the exhaust when engine is hot. it should not smell like gas . temps should be between hot and cold if near cold, replace the thermostat. miles and usage are what makes the repairs come sooner. converters last a long time ; unless the engine was just ran without checking. more info on the car's miles, services performed, and how it sounds now are descriptions that are important.
