Does the Corolla have a front end gear box?

I have a 2003 Toyota corolla. It’s making a loud noise when speed increases, starting around 30mph.  Does not change when in neutral or if the engine is off while coasting down hill. Does not accelerate or decelerate with RPM, only with speed. It reminds me of a rear end gear box problem. Does this car have a front end gear box and can it be serviced?

a Corolla only has a transmission in the front.. you can do a trans service but what your describing sounds to me like a wheel bearing.. if it was a transmission issue it would vary with the RPM of the motor
