Asked by Courtney Feb 28, 2016 at 01:28 PM about the 2003 Toyota Tacoma

Question type: General

We contacted Cherokee Ford of Woodstock with
no answer back. We drije an hour and 45 minutes
to look at a truck that is still showing on their
website as available. Needless to say, it was sold
when we got there but oh, they could sell us
something else.
NO THANK YOU! Very bad customer service!

This has happened to me in the past as well. In their defense, it is often difficult to keep up with the website with a fast turn over rate on a dealers lot. In the future, make sure there is contact made with the dealer to verify that the stock number is still available. Hope this helps and good luck!

Mark makes great points. What happened to you has happened to folks for years. Not good , not fun and very madding. I had a car I took on a 20 minute test drive, only to get back to the dealer and it was SOLD already. So I feel your pain. As you have to drive such a long way/time; you may wish to contact the dealers and ask them to let you know if the vehicle type, style, color, model, etc. comes in to give you a call. If they know you are a serious buyer and want to sell you a truck, they should be willing. Another approach is to just go to the dealers and see what is available on their lots that will meet your needs, and lock it up at that time. I know you likely know this stuff, but the right truck and deal is out there. Good Luck
