Question type: Car Customization

i have a '01 corolla and it has an auto tranny, im looking to swap it out for a 5 speed and was wondering how big of a headache it would be to swap it out. im not sure, but i believe the brake pedal assemble of an 80's model also contains the clutch pedal attached to it and may fit on the '01 but i just need a procedure of how to do it. thanks

you're opening a big can of worms here. If you're serious about it you're best off to find a donor car. You're going to need to swap computers, parts of, if not the whole wiring harness, pedals are the least of your concerns here. It's going to be a lengthly project. If you've never done anything like this I would recommend a shop doing it for you.

I wouldnt waste the time on an '01 corolla. not worth it. Just wait a couple years and buy a new corolla with a stick.
