Is your check engine light on while trying to start it? No check engine light means no power to ECM and it won't start. If not check your fuses and the efi main relay. These relays are known to become loose and give similar issues.

Just for giggles double check your crank position sensor electrical connections. Also are you absolutely sure that the coils and spark plugs are not firing? Might want to remove one, ground plug on metal and have someone turn engine over as you watch for spark.

Just thinking that you might have something else going on.

it has independent coils and have a spark tester hookd up thought it was fixd a bit ago firing rapidly then stopd again

Ok yes it has individual coils. Ok your crank position sensor sends signal to ecu and ecu sends signal to coils for them to fire. Starting to wonder if you might have a loose ground somewhere causing your issues. Or some other loose connection in this loop.

I'm having the same issue. Replaced crank sensor not it starts but won't stay running and isn't kicking any codes. You can check the crank sensor two ways. Either use your code reader and change to rpm. Should get a reading when you try to turn it over. Otherwise, if you don't have a meter, watch the tachometer when you turn the car over. IF your tach moves, which it should, up to about 1, then your sensor is ok. If it doesn't move at all. then sensor bad. Shop online too, partsgeek is $27, O'Reillys $168.

Guru8PHT8, what do you mean the ignitor? I have the same problem. Do you mean ignition switch? My crank sensor has ground but no power.

Did we get a answer on ignitor? I'm having same problems though mine started on but only ran for a few seconds then back to not starting.
