Spark Plugs and Wires

Asked by Jeff Feb 07, 2009 at 08:42 PM about the 2001 Toyota Tacoma

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can anyone recommend the best replacement spark plugs and wires for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, v6, 4x4 ext cab.

I was going to go with NGK iridium for the plugs, but not really sure about the wires.

Thanks!

I would use OEM products. Toyota OEM wires are over-engineered to begin with. NGK Iridiums are fine if you want to pay extra for a plug that lasts longer, but don't expect to feel any power gain.

go oem on everything. toyota makes there parts to for a particular vehicle so use the parts that are ment for that vehicle.
