The dashboard battery light has come on; what does that mean?

Check the voltage with the engine off - it should be around 12.5 volts if charged. Put the battery on a charger if it's low. If the voltage looks good, start the engine and check battery voltage again - it should be around 14- 14.5 volts. If it's low, check the serpentine belt - it might be worn. Get the alternator tested and replaced if bad.

it means your alternator is either not charging or the battery is getting weak.

Clean battery posts neglect is a problem current can't go through Bad cable ends always happens then charging systems check Go to auto zone it's free Let me know Don't undo battery until get radio code or alarm code 1st.

if battery sign is on and the wheel is not turning when in motion....could that be due to power wheel not getting enough electric power? also check engine light came on.

It means that the alternator is not charging the battery. Everyone knows what a battery looks liker - not as many know what a alternator look like. Here's a battery and alternator testing video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cip-dmaTTiQ

When battery is low, check the alternator fuse (100 amp) first. It is under the hood. It could be blown. Don't accuse the alternator just yet.
