Asked by Candi Aug 02, 2017 at 07:47 PM about the 1995 Toyota Camry

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 95 Camry died at red light & wouldn't
crank back (just spins) next day it fired
right up & I drove it abt 2 miles ( until temp
hand reached normal level) & died again.
I've managed to get it home but it's still
doing this! I replaced ignition coil but
wasn't the problem. Please help I need to
fix my car!!!

This sounds like a bad crank sensor,it controls fire to the coil pack, when bad it will cause the issue you have.

Yes crank shaft position sensor located behind the harmonic balancer pulley.

Is this a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder? Any warning lights on or flashing?

4cyl and it was the distributor but now it takes Forever to actually crank and stay running, maybe a sensor ??

When the engine is running...do you notice any warning lights on or flashing?
