Question type: Maintenance & Repair

hello I have a 1995 toyota pickup with a 4 cylinder engine with a 5 speed. I have not been able to go over 35mph. I was told the mass air flow sensor and or the cat convertor was the problem. I have replaced them both and still have this problem

check for vaccuum leaks, and also make sure that the tunnel from your air cleaner to your mass air and mass air to intake is all sealed and no extra air gets in.

You may be able to go to Auto Zone and have your check engine light codes read for free, this will point to general area of problem. always check battery connections and batt. condition, as well as your spark plugs. Follow Jimmy's and Greg's advice as well.
