Car won't start

My grandfather just got a 1993 Toyota Camry for
me a few weeks ago but the distributor was
missing the bottom bolt which was causing an oil
leak. We got a bolt and put it in the distributor and
stopped the oil leak, we made sure there was no oil
in the distributor and dried it out completely before
trying to stay it again. Once we started it again it
ran for about 10 minutes then cut off and it hasn't
started since. We've replaced the fuel pump
checked the timing belt gotten a new igniter, made
sure the distributor was in the right place. We also
checked the fuses and they seem to be getting fire
but the car still won't start. Does anyone kno what
the problem could be?

Maybe the distributor needs replacing??? I had an old 95 Honda Accord and I needed to have mine replaced... the car won't run properly if it's not working fine.. you have to ask yourself, what caused the bottom of the distributor to miss the bottom bolt...may have rusted away.,. None of this sounds good..

The distributor is actually a very complicated piece of electronics... It's the brains of the ignition system...and if that falls, your car's engine won't know how to ignite the cylinders when they're supposed to.... I would strongly suggest that you have a qualified person evaluate exactly what's wrong and advise you on​ the next step.... Today's cars are "rolling computers"... you have to know exactly what you are doing.. no more trial and error.
