y only 3 gears automatic y not more

Dear camarokid-- All of my sources indicate that the only automatic transmission available on the 1985 Chevrolet Camaro was a 4-speed. That may be hard to understand now that we see up to eight speeds available on some cars. But 1985 wasn't that far past the days of three and even two speed transmissions. Good luck from Bovan.

camaro kid... i also have yet to see an 85 camaro with a stock 3 speed auto... and also just because the spedometer says 85 doesnt mean that it will only go 85, these camaro's are very capable of speeds of 100 to 115mph
