I have a 69 chevelle 402 big block motor with a 350 transmission. What newer automatic transmissions will fit ?

Great. But this does not answer my question. I have flat out speed now but want an extra gear or two in auto for cruising on the highway. My 350 has 2500 stall and it is bullet proof. A 700 R4 I don't feel is strong enough for flat out uses. I am asking about later transmissions that would work. Thanks for your input.

go for the 700 r4 ..i have one behind my 65 ss and it will run 9s and on the street all day...get in touch with hughes transmissions if you have any questions.or me ..... have fun.
