they did come with on the column shift/
The column shift was standard with automatics transmission. Floor mounted 3 speed option codes were M11 or MC1 ...usually also ordered with console D55 and buckets A51... no option for Manual column shift seen
I had a very rare 67 Chevelle SS 396/325 HP two speed power glide on column with bucket seats, NO console. Blue on blue. Ordered from Hory Chevrolet in Larchmont, NY. Wish I had it today.
I own a '67 SS 427 Chevelle, 3 speed automatic, column shift and the vin tag supports the cars originality. And, it has a front bench seat as well, all correct for a column shift! When I first bought the car some 10 years ago, I entertained replacing the column, front bench seat and installing buckets with a console automatic shifter. After driving the car for a couple of years, I decided to leave it as is and just enjoy it the way it came new!

I have a 70 SS LS5 with a horseshoe shifter. From what I've heard it is a very rare option. Is that true?
