When I hit the gas pedal my engine sounds like I'm pressing it but the car stays still for about 2-4 seconds..then it like pumps or it feels like someone pushed it and then it works fine. What's wrong

sounds like a trany issue. Of all the cars with the most issues i have seen more a6's in the garage for repairs then even my a4. Try this. jack up your car and put some stands under it. Next grab the axel on the passenger side and try and shake it. If its loose at the transmission side this is probable then just bad bearings in the dif.
