How rare are the camaros with the shifter on the steering wheel column?

I haven't found any production numbers, but '68 was the last year you could order a Camaro with a bench seat in front, and any of those cars would have needed a steering-column-mounted shifter. Looks like most folks preferred the shifter on the floor, though, and based on a bunch of project notes I've seen on forums, a bunch of folks have converted column-shift cars to floor shifters.

my cousin ordered a 1975 brown camaro with a shifter on the steering column, his name is jimmy peak ans i saw one for sale in clayton nc with shifter on the column.

I had a 1970 1/2 Camaro that came with a stock 307 2bbl with a column shifter

I have an original 1967 Camaro with column shift, full syncro three speed and bucket seats. I purchased it new in March of 1967.

Lots of Camaros did. We had a 70 1/2 with 350 2bbl with column automatic shift. A friend had a '68 w/ 327 and 3 on the tree.

I had a 1967 camaro with a 327 engine, 3spd on the column and bucket seats. it's the only one i've ever seen. I'd like to know how many like this were made in that 1st year.

I have a 1970-1/2 Camaro RS with a column shifter instead in the center console. I have yet to see another in person.
