Why aren't there many 1975 Camaros for sale?

The 74-77 camaros are among the least desireable. The motors those years didn't make any power the average power for the 350 4 barrel was 160 horse power. Thay will be the next desireable years as thay get fewer and fewer. I hope it was a good rebuild on the engine. I generally stay away from cars with rebuilt engines because of you don't know what the other person did. I have a 77 with 27,000 original miles i paid 8,000 for. I got a 1970 ss to restore and the motor had been rebuilt before. The cylinders were tappered wrong and it had 2 lobes down on the cam. Good thing it was a california car so it didn't have any rust.

they werent that powerful of cars and in the 70s people started looking for fuel efficiency, so the cars became cheap more so that most others because mainly of the looks, so teens bought a lot and drove them wrecklessly so many are doomed to the crusher

1975 was also the first year that they started installing catalytic convertors on Camaro's. This along with the lack of power made them very undesirable so there are less to find now a days.

That being said I find that one that is in good shape can fetch around 8-10 k. Parts are also a little more expensive because of the rarity of the vehicle. I own one myself and currently restoring it.

That is a lot of money for a 1975. This is also a rear wheel drive vehicle. Not among the safest of cars and not a great car for a new driver. I would recommend something newer with anti lock brakes, air bags, etc. This car does not have much going for it safety wise compared to the newer cars. I think you can do a lot better for your budget! How about a 2005 Camry for instance, not as cool or sporty but way smarter from the standpoint of safety and reliability. Do you live in a snow state?

K first of all none of the morons in the previous articles know anything about the 75. They are very rare and hard to find, in fact they only made about 150,ooo to all. Not that many, if u want power put a motor in it that has power u will get it back in the end, the 75 rs with low miles is climing in price rapidly.... so don't be afraid to grab one if u get the opportunity. It's a pretty cool muscle car, that's right 2 nd gen camaro is American muscle, the facts are there. The only car with stock power, was Mopar otherwise u build it bud.......

Danny - Your absolutely correct! Especially if you can find a TRUE Rally Sport! They only made 7000 R/S that year! I paid 11K for my R/S and it appraised at 17K ! ! I'll attach a photo if this site lets me.

75 for sale

I have a true 1975 Camaro RS with Z85 for RS and also has the Z86 suspension package. It is very hard to find OEM parts for. The suspension on my car is the same as a 1974 Z28 and when I restored the car, I ordered rubber bushings for the rear sway bar for a 1975 Camaro and they were way too small and had to wind up getting 1974 Z28 parts to fit. Nevertheless, I rarely take my car to shows because it is sentimental more than anything to me and was my first car, but I haven't seen one like it at any shows or internet for that matter without a lot of mods added to them. Therefore, they are very hard to put a value on. I had a guy offer me $25,000 over 10 years ago and I wouldn't take it.

The 75 Camaro was my first car when I was 16. I got my second one recently under $8,000 as others have previously mentioned they don’t demand the big bucks. Hopefully that will change as they become rarer and rarer. Rust free and 44k miles, I plan on keeping it for awhile.
