Well to be honest unless you have a time machine and can go back to 1978 then order your car with the Z28 Package it will never be a true Z28. What you will have is a Z28 clone. People have been doing that for years with Chevelles, Novas, Impalas, etc. The trim tag will always tell the tale. Even if you can add the correct equipment, decals, etc. it will never be a real Z28. It just wasn't born as one. Jim
Not that there is anything wrong with a nicely done Z28 clone, but it will never be worth what a real Z28 is worth, and the vin never lie. You'll never fool the purists so don't even bother trying, but if you want to make it a nice custom (with Z28 touches) by all means go for it.
Clones are a dime a dozen. Do the world a favor and do an honest restoration. You have a nice car, don't ruin it.
