Does anyone know if I can place an engine of a 1981 chevy monte carlo V8 305 carburator, on an 1979 chevy camaro body that had an V8 350 on it? What mods do I have to do to fit in? Or is an bolt on swap on engine an tranny?

Many Chevys have had many swaps and there will be many more- can't you find anything better than a 305 to put in there? yikes- why not take the 350 and have it rebuilt or do it your self and learn somethin? put a cam in while you're at it
My hubby says that they are different port holes they would have to be modified. The manifold is a different set up & would have to be machine cut by a computer to be modified. Katie ;)
Mark is right, why not rebuilt the 350, it's better & would probably be cheaper. Katie ;)
Thanks guys, but the problem is that my uncle broke up the 350 engine and sold it and keep the body that is un good shape. And the monte carlo came from the back yard of my uncle running, but the body is all rusty and in bad shape. That's why I want to make the swap.
