Where is the thermostat located and do you have to remove parts to get to it?

follow top raidor hose to engine, at this point is where thermostat is.

If it's the V6 (2.6) then it is directly behind the timing gear on the front face of the engine. You will need to remove the ancillary belt and the plastic crap that covers the camshafts. Then undo the hose that attaches the aluminium housing to the block and undo the retaining bolts. Very carefully pull the timing belts to one side and jiggle out the housing (it looks a bit like a miniature cricket bat and the round housing is entirely incorporated). You should find that the width of the new thermostat is less than the original VAG part and will go back easier.
