I have an 1984 Chev. Camaro Z28 and the choke light keeps coming on. I have a new alternator but light came on again. Can you tell me what the problem might be?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 choke light keeps coming on. I have had a new alternator installed but light just came on again! Batteries have been tested. Car runs on dual battery power. Bought car from newspaper ad and really don't know much about it.

Hello, While I'm not familiar with the choke light on this particular vehicle, here is a forum discussion about this very problem: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/carburetors/373853-84-z28-choke-light.html I hope that helps! CarGrrl

I also have an '84 Z28 and my choke light does the same exact thing. And my friend experienced this in her '84 Firebird also. I dont know what the contributing factor to this is but I guess its not that serious.
